Welcome to Scripting Destiny. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Scripting Destiny website, Substack publication, future software applications and platforms, and all associated digital products, including our BaZi reports and chart readings.
By accessing the website, subscribing to the publication, or purchasing a reading, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. General Website and Publication Use
Age Restrictions: You must be at least 18 years of age to use Scripting Destiny, subscribe to the publication, or purchase a BaZi reading. By utilizing this platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
Content and Intellectual Property: All articles, newsletters, code snippets, proprietary algorithms, report formats, and digital content published on Scripting Destiny are the exclusive intellectual property of the business. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute this content for commercial purposes without explicit written consent.
User Conduct: When participating in the comments section or community features of the publication, you agree to engage respectfully. We reserve the right to remove any content, suspend, or permanently revoke access for users who engage in harassment, spam, or disruptive behavior. If your account or subscription is terminated due to a violation of these conduct rules, you will not be entitled to a refund for any prior purchases, generated reports, or the remaining duration of an active subscription.
Platform Governance: Scripting Destiny is hosted on Substack. Your use of the publication is also subject to Substack’s overarching platform Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. BaZi Readings and Digital Reports
Nature of the Service: All BaZi reports and astrological interpretations provided by Scripting Destiny are strictly for educational and self-reflection purposes. While the analysis is rooted in classical Chinese Metaphysics frameworks (including the Zi Ping Zhen Quan and Di Tian Sui) and structured via data science methodologies, metaphysical charting is inherently subjective. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, life events, or absolute accuracy.
No Professional Advice: Scripting Destiny and its representatives do not provide licensed professional advice. Our reports do not constitute regulated financial, investment, or legal advice. Furthermore, our readings are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
Artificial Intelligence and Charting Methods: You acknowledge that Scripting Destiny utilizes both traditional manual charting and automated Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to aggregate data, parse classical texts, and generate BaZi reports. While our manual analysis and digital algorithms are rigorously designed, metaphysical interpretations - whether human-generated or automated - may contain anomalies. You agree to utilize the insights at your own discretion.
Payments and Refund Policy: Due to the custom, time-intensive, and digital nature of Scripting Destiny reports, all sales are final. The charting and analysis process begins shortly after your order is placed and your birth data is submitted. Because this work commences immediately, no refunds, cancellations, or chargebacks will be issued once an order is confirmed. Revisions are not permitted once the final report is delivered.
3. Data Privacy and Research
Data Collection and Chart Verification: To generate and accurately verify your BaZi chart, we collect specific personal data, including your birth date, birthplace, birth time, and significant past life events provided by you for calibration purposes.
Data Processing & Business Transfers: By submitting your data via our integrated forms, you consent to its collection and processing strictly to generate your report, validate the chart’s accuracy, and maintain your subscriber profile. We comply fully with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and will never sell your personally identifiable information to third-party data brokers or marketing agencies. However, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Scripting Destiny or its assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as a continuing operational asset.
Anonymized Data Usage and Research: By submitting your information, you grant Scripting Destiny the right to de-identify and fully anonymize your birth charting data and submitted life events. This anonymized data—stripped of your name, contact information, and any personally identifiable markers—may be used for statistical analysis, algorithmic training of our digital systems, and compilation into machine learning datasets or aggregated research databases utilized for educational reference.
4. Dispute Resolution for US Users (Arbitration and Class Action Waiver)
Mandatory Arbitration: If you are a resident of the United States, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the breach thereof, or the use of Scripting Destiny’s services shall be settled by binding, individual arbitration, rather than in court.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You expressly waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit against Scripting Destiny.
5. General Legal Provisions
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scripting Destiny shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the website, your reliance on the metaphysical interpretations, or your inability to access the digital service.
Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Subject to Section 4, any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
Amendments: We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page, with the “Last Updated” date reflecting the most recent revisions.
