• BaZi Charting and Verification Data: To generate accurate metaphysical charts, our integrated forms collect sensitive astrological data, including your exact date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. We also collect significant past life events that you voluntarily submit for the purpose of chart calibration and validation.

• Platform Usage Data: Because Scripting Destiny is hosted on Substack, standard usage data (such as IP addresses, browser types, and interaction metrics) is automatically collected by Substack’s infrastructure.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information collected via our platform for the following specific business purposes:

• Service Delivery: To generate custom BaZi reports, validate chart accuracy against your submitted life events, and deliver requested digital products.

• Communication: To send you newsletters, updates, administrative information, and responses to your direct inquiries.

• Anonymized Research and System Training: We securely de-identify and fully anonymize your birth charting data and submitted life events. Stripped of your name, email, and personally identifiable markers, this anonymized data is used for statistical analysis, algorithmic training of our digital systems, and compilation into machine learning datasets or aggregated research databases utilized for educational reference.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We prioritize your privacy and strictly control how your data is shared.

• No Data Brokers: We will never sell, rent, or trade your personally identifiable information to third-party data brokers or marketing agencies.

• Platform Providers: Your email and account data are processed through our primary hosting platform, Substack, and our form-processing integrations (e.g., Jotform). These third-party processors are bound by their own strict privacy policies and data protection protocols.

• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Scripting Destiny or its assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as a continuing operational asset.

• International Data Transfers: Scripting Destiny is operated from Singapore. By accessing our platform and submitting your data, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal information in Singapore and potentially other jurisdictions where our third-party service providers maintain servers. We ensure that standard contractual safeguards are in place for these transfers.

• Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if strictly required to do so by applicable law, government requests, or court orders.

4. Data Security and Retention

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. We will retain your personally identifiable information only for as long as you maintain an active subscription or account with Scripting Destiny, or as needed to resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements.

However, any birth charting data and submitted life events that have been successfully de-identified and fully anonymized for research, algorithmic training, or inclusion in our educational databases will be retained indefinitely, as this information no longer constitutes personal data.

5. Your Rights Under the PDPA (Singapore)

Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act, you possess specific rights regarding your personal data:

• Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to request corrections to any inaccuracies.

• Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data at any time by unsubscribing from the publication or contacting us directly. Please note that withdrawing consent for BaZi data processing will prevent us from generating or verifying future customized reports for you.

• Limitation on Anonymized Data: Please note that your rights to access, correct, or withdraw consent apply only to your personally identifiable information. Once your birth charting data and life events have been de-identified and ingested into our anonymized research databases or machine learning datasets, they are no longer classified as personal data. Because this data is completely unlinked from your identity, it is technically impossible for us to isolate, retrieve, correct, or delete your specific information from these aggregated systems once the anonymization process is complete.

6. Global Privacy Rights (UK GDPR and CCPA)

While our primary regulatory framework is Singapore’s PDPA, we respect global privacy standards for our international users.

• Lawful Basis for Processing (UK/EEA Users): If you are located in the UK or the European Economic Area, our lawful basis for processing your personal data is your explicit consent (provided at the point of data submission) and our legitimate business interest in operating and improving our digital platform.

• Data Erasure: Subject to local laws, you may have the right to request the deletion of your personal data (”Right to be Forgotten”). Please refer to Section 5 regarding the technical limitations of removing fully anonymized data from our trained research databases.

• US State Privacy Laws: Depending on your state of residence (e.g., California), you may have additional rights regarding the disclosure of your personal data. Scripting Destiny does not sell personal data to third parties.
